<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe wine comes from Finca Las Cuchillas, at 1,400 meters above sea level in San Pablo, Tunuy\u00e1n. This is only the third vintage of Aluvional San Pablo, a wine born from our curiosity to understand this place ever more deeply and from our conviction that Malbec can express the identity of a landscape in many different ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his review, James Suckling Senior Editor Zekun Shuai describes: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe wine offers a deep, silky core of black fruit, fine tannins, precise texture and impeccable purity.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n He also speaks of the place behind the bottle: a cool, high-altitude, more humid terroir that faces extreme frosts, where the soils combine sandy-loam materials with calcareous gravel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A Story That Is Just Beginning<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n As Sebasti\u00e1n Zuccardi says: <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFrom our earliest work in San Pablo, we understood that this was a different region. It is never simply a matter of reaching a conclusion. Each vintage brings new questions, new observations and new ways of understanding a place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The recognition of Aluvional San Pablo is especially meaningful to us because it draws attention to the place behind the wine. In recent years, international critics have increasingly turned their attention to the diversity of the Uco Valley\u2019s parajes<\/em> and vineyard parcels, and to each one\u2019s ability to give rise to distinct expressions of Malbec. <\/p>\n\n\n\n San Pablo is part of that story, which is still being written. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Four Wines, Many Places<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n We are delighted that four Zuccardi Valle de Uco wines were included among Argentina\u2019s Top 100 in James Suckling\u2019s selection: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Zuccardi Aluvional San Pablo 2023<\/strong> \u2014 No. 2 | 98 points These wines come from different places, vineyard parcels and landscapes across the Uco Valley.
