Only argentine wine with 100 points

Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2022 is the only Argentine wine to achieve a perfect score in the latest report published by renowned American critic, James Suckling.

Today, James Suckling's latest report on Argentine wines, titled “Argentina 2025 Tasting Report: A Wine Journey to the Extremes,” was released. Suckling and his team shared their ratings after tasting over 2,000 wines from 60 producers across all of the country's wine regions. In this context, the only wine to achieve 100 points was Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2022.

Hailing from a specific 0.73-hectare parcel located in the northeast corner of Finca Piedra Infinita in Paraje Altamira, known for its very stony soils with a strong presence of granite and limestone, the Gravascal 2022 emerges as "a profound and quietly captivating wine." In the words of Jacobo García Andrade, Senior Editor at JamesSuckling.com, "on the palate, it is firm and precise, driven by a stony texture, with discreet fruit that gently reveals itself behind a saline, savory core. Intense and absorbing (...) it is excellent now, but will gain complexity with some bottle aging."

"The 2022 vintage was wonderful, fresh, and perfectly balanced, giving us elegant, fine, and complex wines," recalls Sebastián Zuccardi. "Malbecs from Paraje Altamira, in particular, show aromas and notes of red fruits; very expressive with great texture and juiciness."

In addition to Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2022, which achieved a perfect score, other Zuccardi Valle de Uco wines also received excellent ratings from JamesSuckling.com:
