BEST NEW WORLD WINERY

A new recognition for Zuccardi Valle de Uco: the prestigious American Wine Enthusiast magazine has named it 2022 Best New World Winery of the year.

Since 2000, Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Star Awards have honored, across 16 categories, the winemakers, companies, and regions that make exceptional contributions to the world of wine, and which, through a vision combining quality and innovation, have a great impact on consumers and marketing chains.

Each year, the Best New World Winery category awards the most outstanding winemaking establishment located outside of the United States and the Old World (Europe). Zuccardi Valle de Uco was nominated within this category and ranked first above names such as Two Paddocks (New Zealand), Monte Xanic (Mexico), Montes Wine (Chile), and Reyneke (South Africa).

“Zuccardi family’s winery in the Uco Valley is an architectural wonder established in 2016. In it, Sebastián Zuccardi, a third-generation member of the family, has kept a focus on research and development to produce wines sourced from different regions, sites, estates and plots in the Uco Valley. His highly praised wines are both complex and fresh examples of the terroir, more than expressions of a single variety,” according to Wine Enthusiast.

The Wine Star Awards create quite a stir in the wine world every year, and especially in the American market. Being named Best New World Winery consolidates the presence of Zuccardi Valle de Uco in the United States, its main export market. In terms of corporate image, the award becomes an excellent letter of endorsement in the face of potential clients and consumers. The announcement of this accolade comes only one week after Zuccardi Valle de Uco’s arrival at the World’s Best Vineyards Hall of Fame.

Sebastián Zuccardi, who will receive the award at the gala taking place next January 30 in the city of San Francisco, said: “We are very excited to have received this new award. Wine Enthusiast is a highly professional publication that holds enormous sway over consumers around the world. The award not only acknowledges our work, but also the growth our region is experiencing at an international level.”

Founded in 1988, the Wine Enthusiast magazine publishes monthly evaluations of wines from around the globe and covers a wide variety of topics connected with wine and lifestyle, such as entertainment, travelling, and cuisine. With more than 800,000 subscribers worldwide, its reviews and articles are greatly influential on wine consumers and industry professionals.
