100 Points from the Mountains

Ten perfect wines in just six years: a milestone that establishes Zuccardi Valle de Uco as a benchmark for Argentine wine worldwide..

In only six years, ten wines from Zuccardi Valle de Uco have achieved the highest possible distinction: 100 points awarded by the most influential wine critics in the world. This record—remarkable for both its speed and consistency—confirms a journey guided by vision, passion, and the commitment of a team that works every day to faithfully express the essence of the Uco Valley.

The story of this achievement began in November 2019, when Wine Advocate by Robert Parker published its annual report on Argentina. Luis Gutiérrez, the critic responsible for evaluating the wines of our country, awarded the first-ever perfect score to a Zuccardi wine: Finca Piedra Infinita 2016. That moment marked the beginning of a series of unprecedented international accolades.

Just sixteen months later, in March 2021, came the second 100-point score: Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal 2018, once again by Robert Parker, and once again born from the stony, limestone soils of Paraje Altamira. Since then, each year has brought new honours, with different vintages and different critics all coinciding in one idea: Zuccardi Valle de Uco stands at the pinnacle of Argentine wine and among the great names of global viticulture.

These awards are, in the words of Sebastián Zuccardi, “a recognition of the places from which our wines are born, of the unique identity bestowed by the mountains, and of the collective work of a team that shares the same passion and pursuit of excellence.”

Teamwork with the Mark of the Mountains
Achieving ten perfect wines in such a short time is no matter of chance. Behind every bottle lie years of research, patient observation, and respect for nature. From vineyard to cellar, every decision is made to enhance the character of place: altitude, fresh climate, stony soils, and the commanding presence of the Andes.

The agronomy and winemaking team at Zuccardi Valle de Uco works hand in hand, interpreting each parcel and each harvest with precision. Harvesting at the exact right moment, fermenting in vessels that preserve fruit purity, and ageing in materials that do not mask the terroir are part of a philosophy that prioritises identity over fashion.

These international recognitions validate the conviction that guides the winery: to make wines that could only be born in this corner of the world.

In the words of Sebastián Zuccardi
“These awards not only acknowledge the effort and talent of a dedicated team. Above all, they are a recognition of the places from which our wines originate. More than ever before, our regions are competing at the highest level of international esteem. We are doing something unique: mountain wines. And we are proud to share them with the world”.
