This wine is the result of the search for the purest expression of identity from Finca Piedra Infinita, in Paraje Altamira. It comes from a specific parcel of 0.93 hectares, located in the western sector of this vineyard, known for its shallow soils with enormous deposits of alluvial stones covered by a rich layer of calcareous material.
Descorchados is currently the most important reference for South American wines. Created and edited by the renowned Chilean wine critic and journalist Patricio Tapia, it published its first edition 26 years ago. It includes a deep analysis of the wine scene on this side of the world, leading to an annual report that includes the best wines from South America, trends, and the key producers to know. In his upcoming report, Patricio Tapia dedicates a special introduction to the two wines that have reached 100 points for the first time in Descorchados – both from Argentina: Finca Piedra Infinita Supercal 2021 and Adrianna Vineyard Mundus Bacillus Terrae 2021. “We have closely watched the evolution of how Sebastián Zuccardi and Alejandro Vigil approach the task of expressing in the wine the vineyard from which these superlative reds were born (…) This year has brought a brilliant moment for both producers in the interpretation of a place, coinciding with a stellar harvest like 2021, a fresh year that has proven to be the best engine for these wines to express their origin. What we have is the crystallization of the serious and meticulous work of two of the best producers today in South America.”
