100 Parker points for Zuccardi Piedra Infinita 2016

ZUCCARDI FINCA PIEDRA INFINITA MALBEC 2016, ONE OF THE WINERY ICONS RECEIVED THE PERFECT SCORE OF ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL CRITICIANS, LUIS GUTIERREZ.

The perfect score. Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita 2016, one of the icon wines of Zuccardi Valle de Uco Winery, received 100 points from the critic Luis Gutiérrez, who evaluates Argentine wines for the publication Robert Parker´s The Wine Advocate. Finca Piedra Infinita is a Malbec from that farm, located in Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley, Mendoza, where the spectacular winery is located.

Following Luis Gutiérrez, a 100-point wine is “an extraordinary wine with a deep and complex character that shows all the expected attributes of a classic wine of its variety”. In 2019, only one wine in South America reached that score: Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita 2016.

“It has reached a level of stratospheric precision, the symmetry and elegance of this vintage is truly captivating. Everything seems to be in its right place, there is great harmony, its aromas are clean and pure and its liquid chalk texture is marked. It combines power and elegance, energy and finesse. I think it is the best wine that Zuccardi has produced so far and has earned it a three-digit score”, Gutiérrez wrote about Finca Piedra Infinita.

Gutiérrez added: “Zuccardi has made remarkable progress in quality since I started reviewing the wines of Argentina in 2014. Its wines have shown better with each harvest. 2016 was the decisive year, when the precision of its work reached unprecedented levels ”.

For his part, Sebastián Zuccardi, creator of the award-winning wine, commented: “Finca Piedra Infinita 2016 is a very special wine, since it combines the history of the place, of a producer and of a vintage in particular.”
